The same plan gave the county Echo Lake Park, Nomahegan Park in Cranford, Rahway River Park, and the parkway corridors that link them. Taken together they make a green chain running west and south out of the city.

The Rahway River Parkway

The Rahway River Parkway is the connective tissue -- a chain of parkland following the river through Roselle, Cranford, Springfield, and down toward Rahway, with paved paths, riverside stretches, and park roads.
